Open War is Upon You

army of God888

Through adversity we are born. And we are born to face and overcome adversity (a little snippet from my upcoming book "The Father's Heart and Purpose for the End Times).

Don't let the enemy steal from or lie to you about your purpose. One of your primary roles is to overcome him! "And they overcame him [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." ~Revelation 12:11 (NIV)

I love this little clip from LOTR. Gandalf is encouraging the King in his duty to fight the enemy. "Ride out and meet him head on!" But he didn't want to take the risk of open war. Aragorn responds, "Open war is upon you whether you would risk it or not!"( See the video clip > Here)

How true...do we not see this happening all around us? It is increasing all over the world! What should we do?

Let's put on the full armor of God and fulfill our duty. Let's ride out and meet it head on! Let's fulfill our destinies as true soldiers of Christ.

The Armor of God
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." ~Ephesians 6:10-18 (NIV)

“For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), Being in readiness to punish every [insubordinate for his] disobedience, when your own submission and obedience [as a church] are fully secured and complete.” ~II Corinthians 10:3-6 (AMP)

Facing the Real Possibility of Persecution and Martyrdom

persecution

Today, let us seriously consider the reality of persecution and even the real possibility of dying for our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus laid down His life for His bride. What does He expect of us in return? Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” (Matthew 16:24, NIV). Jesus also said, “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matthew 5:10-12, NIV)

“Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.” ~John 15:20 (NIV)

“In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted…” ~2 Timothy 3:12 (NIV)

Historical accounts tell us that eleven out of the twelve disciples were martyred. It is also reported that they attempted to kill John the Apostle, but he wouldn’t die. Although these things are hard to keep track of, it is estimated that from when Jesus walked the earth until now, there have been as many as 70 million Christian martyrs. Some believe that 40 million of those have come just in the 20th century alone. The number of martyrs for Christ that we see now every year could very well be the highest number in history.

What about us? Persecution is one thing. But will we again risk the same fate as the disciples did in their day? How many of us will actually face martyrdom? Let us consider the scriptures concerning this subject.

“As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. ‘Tell us,’ they said, ‘when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?’ Jesus answered: ‘Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.’” ~Matthew 24:3-13 (NIV)

“The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time. ‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’” ~Daniel 7:24-27 (NIV)

“His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation. With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him. Those who are wise will instruct many, though for a time they will fall by the sword or be burned or captured or plundered. When they fall, they will receive a little help, and many who are not sincere will join them. Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.” ~Daniel 11:31-35 (NIV)

“The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, ‘It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.’” ~Daniel 12:7 (NIV)

“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time. So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. Immediately after the distress of those days

‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” ~Matthew 24:15-31 (NIV)

“The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach. Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.” ~Revelation 12:14-17 (NIV)

“Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.” ~Revelation 2:10 (NIV)

“When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, ‘How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?’ Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.” ~Revelation 9:6-11 (NIV)

“The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world. Whoever has ears, let them hear. ‘If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.’ This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.” ~Revelation 13:5-10 (NIV)

“A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: ‘If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.’ This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus. Then I heard a voice from heaven say, ‘Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ’Yes,’ says the Spirit, ‘they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.’” ~Revelation 14:9-13 (NIV)

“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands… Then one of the elders asked me, ‘These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?’ I answered, ‘Sir, you know.’ And he said, ‘These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. ‘Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst.’’” ~Revelation 7:9,13-16 (NIV)

“They triumphed over him [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” ~Revelation 12:11 (NIV)

“I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.” ~Revelation 20:4-6 (NIV)

As persecution of the followers of Jesus Christ increases across the earth right through the end of the age, what should our response be? Let us look to the word of God.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord. On the contrary: ‘If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.’ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” ~Romans 12:12-21 (NIV)

“Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For,

‘In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.’

And,

‘But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.’

But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.” ~Hebrews 10:32-39 (NIV)

The Increase in the Harvest

wheat-field

In November of 2013, I wrote a blog about the harvest called, “It’s Harvest Time!” Beloved, it truly is harvest time! How long this harvest will go, we do not yet know. Jesus spoke of a great harvest at the end of the age. I believe that we have entered that time. Here are a few pieces of evidence, in case you have any doubt:

- I have been reading “A wind in the house of Islam” by David Garrison, published this year. His team conducted a very large study, travelling across the 9 “rooms” of Islam in dozens of countries. He discovered 82 voluntary moves to Christianity across 29 countries in these areas (a “move” was defined as being comprised of at least 1,000 baptisms or 100 church plants). Two of these moves happened in the 19th century. Eleven of them happened in the 20th century. Amazingly, 69 of them happened just within the 21st century!

- Every Home for Christ has brought the gospel in written form to over 1.6 Billion homes around the world in the last 60 years and has seen well over 100 million decisions for Christ. They have seen many more decisions for Christ in the last 10 years as they’ve seen happen in all of the previous 55 years combined! Also, their conversion rate right now is approximately double what they’ve seen over the course of their history.

- In talking this morning with a friend who is in ministry in the US. He mentioned that he just recently performed the first baptisms in a certain people group he has had an outreach to for 15 years!

- All of this is driven by Spirit-led prayer. We have recently seen a great global increase in Houses of Prayer, many which have worship and intercession going for many hours each week (some even 24/7) and that have been praying in an increasing way for the lost and unreached tribes. The number of these types of Houses of Prayer suddenly increased in the 21st century…from just a handful to ~10,000-20,000 Houses of Prayer worldwide!

In 1975, the prophet Bob Jones passed away and stood before the Lord. One the things the Lord said he would do is to go back and touch some leaders that would have a big impact in bringing in a harvest of over 1 billion (mainly young people) into the Kingdom! He was told he would see the beginning of it before he died. Bob began to announce that the harvest had begun in earnest in 2012 and 2013. Bob passed away on Valentine’s Day this year.

It is time to seek the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind strength. To drink in His extravagant love deeply and give it back to Him and to others.

“Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest.” ~Matthew 9:37-38 (AMP)

Boaz is seen as a type of Christ in the Bible. Let us watch closely what is happening as we see Boaz returning to the “field” (which represents the “world” in Matthew 13).

Naomi said to her, “Go ahead, my daughter.” So she [Ruth] went out, entered a field and began to glean behind the harvesters. As it turned out, she was working in a field belonging to Boaz, who was from the clan of Elimelek. Just then Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and greeted the harvesters, “The Lord be with you!” “The Lord bless you!” they answered. ~Ruth2:2-4 (NIV) What did Boaz find His people doing when he returned? They were busy bringing in the harvest! They were joyfully doing as they were expected… just as they had been earlier instructed.

When Jesus was in Jerusalem, He said, ”For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’” ~Matthew 23:39 (NIV)

God does not change His mind. When He says something, He means it! There is no crooked word that comes out of His mouth. So, what are our instructions? What should He find us doing when He returns? I think it is clear that in addition to watching and praying…we should be bringing His Kingdom of Love to earth! We should be actively demonstrating and sharing His love with others and bringing in His harvest, reaping for Him the rewards of His suffering!

”Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age’.” ~Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

“As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.” ~Matthew 10:7-8 (NIV)

It takes a fearless warrior, operating in the love of Christ, to bring in an abundant harvest. Evil must be overcome with good. When our enemy is overcome, then we can release the prisoners and set them free!

“’If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.’ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” ~Romans 12:20-21 (NIV)

“In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house.” ~Mark 3:27 (NIV)

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” ~Isaiah 61:3 (NIV)

As followers of Jesus Christ, what will we do? Will we respond to His commands? Or will we sit around in ignorance, apathy and cowardice, waiting for Him to return? Consider the parable of the talents. How did the Master respond to the one who hid in a hole and waited for the Master’s return, instead of laboring in his Master’s harvest? Consider the actions of the wicked servant in the Parable of the Talents.

“Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’ His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest. So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’” ~Matthew 25:24-30 (NIV)

Notice how the wicked servant says, “I was afraid and went out and hid your gold…” How similar that is to Adam, after he had sinned and turned over his authority to Satan. “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” (See Genesis 3:10)

Christ has already won the victory and holds all authority. So, let us never go down that road of holding back or hiding again! Instead, let us faithfully and courageously lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters around us and around the world just as Christ did for us! Let it then be said to us on that day, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” ~Matthew 25:21 (NIV)

“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.” ~Daniel 12:3 (NIV)

Beloved, it is time to throw everything into His harvest…while there is still time! The very least we can do is pray! (For various examples of ways to help, click: Here)

The Release of God's Unsearchable Wisdom - Again!

james nesbit - gate beautiful
John Nesbit - “Gate Beautiful – The Right Time Gate”

About two months ago, I wrote a blog about the release of God’s unsearchable wisdom (posted here). Over the last several weeks, the Lord has been speaking more to me on this subject. I was compelled to continue on this topic and relay some more of what God has been telling me. I feel that there is an increase in urgency in regards to this message.

Since the first blog was written, I have had an additional experience with waking up at 3:33 am - and other similar experiences - pointing to Jeremiah 33:3. I have had similar occurrences pointing to 222, which often points to Isaiah 22:2 or Isaiah 22:22 (the key of David). This all speaking to turning away from the wisdom of men, and instead, turning to God’s unsearchable wisdom.

“Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?” ~Isaiah 2:22 (NIV)

What is the Lord saying about this? A few days ago, in the middle of the night while I was asleep, I was simply given a reference to a scripture: I Corinthians 2:5-6. After I had awakened, I looked it up. Again, it was about divine wisdom. I believe I Corinthians 2:5-6 is, among other things, a bridge between Isaiah 2:22 and Jeremiah 33:3.

“…so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.” ~I Corinthians 2:5-6 (NIV)

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” ~Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)

Once we enter into God’s divine wisdom and are walking in the Spirit of truth (the Spirit of Jesus, the Holy Spirit), all things are possible for us (see Mark 9:23)…and He will tell us about the future.

“For the substance (essence) of the truth revealed by Jesus is the spirit of all prophecy.” ~Revelation 19:10 (AMP)

Jesus said, “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that He will receive what He will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what He will make known to you.” ~John 16:12-15 (NIV)

We know from His word that His Kingdom will overcome and destroy all others (Daniel 2:44-45). His wisdom will also destroy all earthly wisdom (see Isaiah 29:13-14 & 48:6-7).

Two Confirmations

In the days following the dream experience where I received I Corinthians 2:5-6, I received two confirming words. The first one I heard in a video, and the other I read in a book. Both involved the prophet Bobby Conner (see Bobbyconner.org).

In the first confirming word, I was recently listening to a video that described how Bobby had a very powerful experience where He approached a beautiful, glorious gate in heaven. Another woman actually had the same experience the same night. When they compared notes, she heard it called “Gateway of Glory.” Bobby heard it called “Gateway of Gold.” The woman saw an inscription on the top of the gate, but she couldn’t read it. Bobby saw an inscription on the gate as well, but he could read it. Bobby said it read, “Jeremiah 33:3.”

The second confirmation came just a few days ago and I read the last few pages of Bobby Conner’s 2014 Shepherd’s Rod. Bobby declared that we have entered a season where divine wisdom is becoming available to us in greater measure to help synchronize “the will of God with the walk of the believers.” He quoted 2 Corinthians 2:6-7.

“We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.” ~2 Corinthians 2:6-7 (NIV)

We know that Jesus is the Door. He is the Way. He is the Way. He is the Truth. He is the Life. He is the Good Shepherd. He is the Gate.

Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” ~John 10:7-10 (NIV)

Jesus is also the “Hidden Treasure” and the “Pearl of Great Price.”

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.” ~Matthew 13:44 (NIV)

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.” ~Matthew 13:45 (NIV)

We are given a gift of time and life and an opportunity on this earth. During our lives, by God’s grace, we are given an opportunity to enter into the Gate (Jesus), and to invite Him to enter into and live in us.

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” ~Revelation 3:20 (NIV)

The time will come, when our period of grace is over…when our time on this earth ends…and the great door will close. Where are you today?

Today, I felt the Lord urging me to complete this message. Earlier today, our family drove up to attend Sunday service in Skiatook, Oklahoma where Bobby Conner shared a wonderful message, “What a Difference One Day Can Make!” Behind him on the wall was the above painting of the “Gate Beautiful” by James Nesbit. Astoundingly, it is subtitled, “The Right Time Gate.”

Have you entered the Gate? Is Jesus also in you? If so, I feel compelled to encourage you with Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”

However, if you have yet to make this decision, I also want to encourage you to do so today. Time is very short! We never know if this day will be our very last. The day of our Lord is near. The opportunity to enter the gate is soon drawing to a close. The time to seek Him is now!

“’In just a little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay.’ And, ’But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.’ But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.” ~Hebrews 10:37-39 (NIV)

“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.” ~Isaiah 55:6 (NIV)

“I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” ~2 Corinthians 6:2 (NIV)

Don’t wait for another day or a seemingly more convenient time. Today is the day!

Pray to receive Him now: http://liongear.com/follow-him

Signs in the Heavens

Mt Sangeang and Mt Sinai
Artist’s depiction of Moses and the Israelites at Mt. Sinai, c. 1445 BC and the Mt. Sangeang eruption - May 30, 2014

In c. 1445 BC, Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt. Fifty days out, they came to Mount Sinai to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. As Moses approached the Mount Sinai, it was, “… covered with smoke, because the Lord descended on it in fire.” “The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, and the whole mountain trembled violently.” (Exodus 19:18, NIV)

Fifty days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ there was another great trembling. “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” (Acts 2:1-4, NIV)

On Friday, May 30, 2014, just a few days before Pentecost, something quite interesting happened. Two volcanoes began to erupt. Mount Sangeang in Indonesia erupted with immense power, sending ash 12 miles in the sky. The similarity of the pronunciation “Sangeang” to “Sinai” in the English is uncanny (Listen to it - here). Secondly, Mount Pavlov in Alaska (originating from “Paul” or “humble man”) began to erupt as well.

The Lord often gives us signs in the heavens and the earth that signify what He is doing or about to do on the earth. Could this be a sign in the heavens? I believe it very well could be. I believe we are about to be very surprised by what God is about to do on this earth in regards to the pouring out of His Spirit.

“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.” (Joel 2:28-32, NIV)

I believe also that the eruption of Pavlof (“humble man”) signifies the beginning of the rise the humble, God-fearing men and women; and at the same time, the humbling of the proud.

“Suddenly, in an instant, the Lord Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire.” (Isaiah 29:5-6, NIV)

“Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught. Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish.” (Isaiah 29:13-14, NIV)

“Once more the humble will rejoice in the Lord; the needy will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. The ruthless will vanish, the mockers will disappear, and all who have an eye for evil will be cut down…” (Isaiah 29:19-20, NIV)

Is the time we are entering another season of Pentecost as in the earlier days? I believe not. Jesus promised that greater things are coming…and I fully expect to see it in my lifetime. I believe we are seeing an increase of this now!

“This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.” (Haggai 2:6-9, NIV)

May God Richly Bless You,

The Love of God: Believe It and Receive It

Jesus Love

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ loves us a lot more than we think He does. Yes, this is true for all of us. In our natural mind we will often struggle to believe this fact. Even so, He will always love us more than we think He does…even after we receive our supernatural minds in the resurrection! Even the four living creatures and the 24 elders constantly get new revelation at the Throne of God! Similarly, we will always experience new and higher revelations of God’s love for us. But first, we must start with a willingness to receive it…and even before that…we must believe it. We must believe it in order to receive it. This takes faith.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.” ~Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)

So, let us remember the truth. The truth is that God is love. Love is who He is. Love is what He does. He is building a Kingdom of Love on the earth (Isaiah 16:5). He will ultimately remove anything and anyone that opposes His love. He wants us to participate with Him in setting up His Kingdom of Love. How do we do this?

Only if we receive His love, can we then return it back to Him and give it to others. Jesus said that all the law and prophets hang on these two things: loving God and loving others. Yet, we are tempted to believe that if we first keep the law and the prophets-if we clean ourselves up-then He will receive us and then He will love us. But none of us deserve His love. “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8, NIV). So, we must first realize that even though we have never deserved it, God loves us. In faith, we must humble ourselves and receive it freely (without having earned it) and then give it back to Him…and then find others that also don’t deserve it (which is everyone on the planet) and give it them freely as well. “Freely you have received; freely give.” (Matthew 10:8). As His love flows into us and through us, we will also experience our hearts being purified.

In our natural mind, we will be tempted to look at circumstances and bad things that have happened and then blame God and blame others (the exact opposite of what He asked to do – to love God and love others). The truth of the matter is that God is perfect. He is merciful and kind. He has never done anything to receive a bad rap. He loves us much more than we understand. So, let us stop wasting our lives believing the lies of the enemy of our souls. Let us go on to believe the truth of His love for us! Let us die to ourselves and to our worldly, natural thinking. Let us run to and be hidden in Christ. (Colossians 3:3). Let us then receive His love, and remain in His love (John 15:9). Let us give it back to Him and to others. In so doing, let us become who He has called us to be…sons and daughters of God. Let us go on to be transformed into the image of our Father. He will bring you forth in His love.

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.” ~John 15:9 (NIV)

“We love because he first loved us.” ~I John 4:19 (NIV)

“…love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful." ~Luke 6:34-36 (NIV)

“Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” ~Matthew 5:48 (NIV)

“…I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day. What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.” ~2 Timothy 1:12-14 (NIV)

Two Things for Today

Two Things

Two things I’ve felt the Lord’s put on my heart recently. One has to do with the God’s government coming down. The other has to do with calling in His sons and daughters. They are two different things, yet they are related to each other. I think part of the reason for this is that His government needs to begin to be set up in order to help facilitate, support, bring comfort to and teach His sons and daughters as they are gathered into the Kingdom of God. There are very big topics. But I’m just going to just share on this very briefly.

Recently, I was in a Bible Study in the office of one of our US Congressmen. The staff told me that he had gone completely uncontested in the upcoming elections. It occurred to me that this may be part of the beginning of seeing His government coming down and set into place. The scripture that I was reminded of in this example, and that I proceeded to mention to them, was the end of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel chapter 2.

“In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces.” ~Daniel 2:44-45 (NIV)

I was reminded of this again when I was suddenly awakened at 12:12 am a few days ago. (In the Kingdom of God, 12 stands for government). It is obvious that not all ungodly governments will go down easily. Some will have to be shaken loose and then replaced. As we know, it will get messy before this whole thing is over. So this is just the beginning. (For example, if you want to go deeper into this topic, Terry Bennett gave a word a few days ago (May 7th) partly related to this, including the shaking that is soon to take place in Washington D.C. – “The Lord Has Come Down (Blood Moon) Pt 2” - http://terrybennettministries.com/audio/monthly/2014%20May.MP3. Other recent words can be found here: http://terrybennettministries.com/word.html).

The same thing can be said about Christ’s rulership of each individual heart. Some of our hearts are already His and needs less drastic measures in order for Christ to set up His desired rule and reign. Others hearts need to be shaken, before the rulership can be replaced.

The second area that the Lord has been putting on my heart recently has to do with beginning to call in His sons and daughters. I believe we are seeing this happen all over the world right now. There are places that have historically been considered unreachable that are seeing sudden turns now…and people are coming to the knowledge of the Lord. Doors and gates are opening…and the harvest is increasing! I am personally, for one small example, seeing thousands of young people learn about Jesus Christ in their own language in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is the home of the largest unreached people group in the world, the “Shaikh,” which contains over 128,000,000 people.

At this time we are praying for laborers to be thrust out into the harvest (Matthew 9:37-38). But, I’ve also been reminded to pray according to Isaiah chapter 43:

“Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” ~Isaiah 43:5-7 (NIV)

When we call forth to bring His sons and daughters in to the Kingdom, we should also be prepared to make room for them, care for them and disciple them. For we are to, “make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19)

So, let us receive our King and let Him set up absolute, loving rulership in our hearts; as well as in our areas of influence, and all throughout our land. Let us let Him shine His light through us in order to draw all men unto Himself to find healing, shelter, comfort and loving leadership!

Be encouraged today by the prophet Isaiah:

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the hip. Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come. Herds of camels will cover your land, young camels of Midian and Ephah. And all from Sheba will come, bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the Lord. All Kedar’s flocks will be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth will serve you; they will be accepted as offerings on my altar, and I will adorn my glorious temple. Who are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their nests? Surely the islands look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish, bringing your children from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor. Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. Though in anger I struck you, in favor I will show you compassion. Your gates will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations—their kings led in triumphal procession. For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined. The glory of Lebanon will come to you, the juniper, the fir and the cypress together, to adorn my sanctuary; and I will glorify the place for my feet. The children of your oppressors will come bowing before you; all who despise you will bow down at your feet and will call you the City of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Although you have been forsaken and hated, with no one traveling through, I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations. You will drink the milk of nations and be nursed at royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. Instead of bronze I will bring you gold, and silver in place of iron. Instead of wood I will bring you bronze, and iron in place of stones. I will make peace your governor and well-being your ruler. No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. Then all your people will be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor. The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly.” ~Isaiah 60 (NIV)

He Will Make the Wrong Things Right / Flipping the Model on Its Head / You Can Help!

Bangladesh #3

Something really stirred my heart the other day. It may sounds kind of odd at first, but to explain, you need to follow me on this. I brought up our Lion Gear facebook page (which has ~2,500 likes) and facebook threw a statistic at me. Facebook told me that the single largest demographic of people that follow the Lion Gear page are 18-24 year olds in the city of Dhaka, Bangladesh! That wowed me. Here’s why….

About 6 years ago, almost to the day, I was doing one of my primary annual tasks working in the enterprise division of a global telecommunications company. That task entails looking at hundreds of the largest metropolitan areas of the world and ranking them for economic power and demand for our products and services. The idea, then, is to build business cases to enter some of the next largest markets that we are not already participating in. So, one day, I thought…I have been looking at hundreds of the largest metropolitan economies in the world. What if I flipped the whole model upside down on its head and tried to find the metropolitan areas that have a combination of the lowest economic power and the highest populations. This, of course, would not be a strong prospective business market, but instead, should show me some of the darkest, poverty-stricken, needy, lost and forgotten people on the globe. When I analyzed the data, several countries and cities stood out. But the #1 city that seemed to rank the highest on this scale was Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Dhaka, Bangladesh is the 8th largest city in the world. It contains approximately 15 million people and is one of the most densely populated and fastest growing cities. It is also one of the poorest cities in the world. The annual per capita income of Dhaka is estimated at $1,350 (USD). A large segment of the population of Dhaka live below the poverty line and many live on approximately $5 per day. The people there are approximately 90% Muslim, with only approximately 0.4% claiming to be Christian. According to the Joshua Project (http:///www.joshuaproject.net), the single largest unreached people group in the world, is the “Shaikh” in Bangladesh. This unreached people group contains over 128 million people! Dhaka is the single largest collection of these unreached people!

So, how, short of a miracle, (and I know miracles are involved :) ) did these young people in the forgotten city of Dhaka, Bangladesh begin following Lion Gear facebook (where they see scripture and encouragement posted daily)? Well, I guess this shift began, when, inspired by a message by Lou Engle (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6Ic3jQOXeM) I (and some followers of a new Pray Ekballo 24/7 twitter and facebook account I started) began to pray for all the unreached people groups of the world once every ~10 months (about 7,000 unreached people groups). After that, ideas began to come.

One thing I remembered seeing is an article a lady wrote about reaching unreached people groups using facebook ads. So, I tried it…and it worked! At Lion Gear, we now place facebook ads in Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, India and Pakistan (where there are many unreached people groups) to watch the Jesus Film in their own language. When they click on the ads, it automatically links them online to the Jesus Film in their own language! Thousands, in fact, almost 40,000 now, have clicked to watch the Jesus Film from those five countries, including thousands from Bangladesh! Hundreds of them share the movie with others, offer comments, and many also come back and like the Lion Gear facebook page (and get further encouragement there). Believe it or not, as poor as many of these people are, millions (and millions more annually) have cell phones and facebook accounts!

The Bible says in Isaiah 61 that, “the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.” And my friend, our Lord is doing it! It is happening now, all over the globe. Even in the darkest of places! Have you joined Him in His harvest?

How Can I Help?

So, progress is being made, and in recent years, millions are beginning to turn to Christ in some of the toughest places in the world across the 10/40 window! But you may wonder, “How can I help?” Here are several ways to help:

1. Learn! One great place to learn about the unreached people of the world is at Joshua Project: http://joshuaproject.net/

2. Pray! Jesus said, “The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest.” (Matthew 9:36-38, AMP). You can follow our Pray Ekballo 24/7 Facebook or Twitter accounts to pray for laborers to be thrust out to the unreached people groups of the world. We post/tweet one unreached people group per hour at:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pray.ekballo
Twitter: https://twitter.com/PrayEkballo247

3. Give! You can contribute via PayPal to Lion Gear and designate the funds to go to one of our unreached people group ad campaigns. Here are three options:

a. Buy a Lion Gear T-shirt at: http://www.liongear.com/ We have new Lion’s Roar T-shirts in stock today!
b. Support an existing Lion Gear ad campaign. We are reaching almost 10,000 people per month who click to watch the Jesus Film in their own language…but to continue at this pace, we need your help!
c. Do some of your own research of unreached people groups at Joshua Project (http://joshuaproject.net/listings/Population/desc/25/allctry/allcon/allreg?jps2=5&jps3=5) and name your own people group that you want to reach and the amount you want to spend on the ad campaign and let us know. Even a $20 campaign can reach potentially thousands of lives for Jesus Christ! Afterwards, we will provide you the results from facebook.

For last two options above, you can send your donation, with your desired ad campaign details (in the comments) to Lion Gear on Paypal here: Lion Gear Paypal

(Lion Gear, LLC is not a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, so donations are not tax deductible. However, donations will help to reach more young people with the gospel of Jesus Christ)

4. Go! Bangladesh, for example, is just beginning to really open up to the gospel! There is such an immense opportunity for reaching others with the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is some persecution there of believers, but it is NOT one of the most dangerous (for example, it is not one of the top 50 persecution watch countries). YWAM is one great organization to go with to Bangladesh. Here is a short video of a recent YWAM DTS there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9FRAUcvpyc

5. Mobilize! Raise awareness by telling others about the need. You can learn more about many mobilization options and other options to reach the unreached by attending a “Perspectives on the World Christian Movement” course, held each year in a city near you: http://www.perspectives.org/

6. Welcome! There are many ways to welcome international families and students to our country and then through friendship, look for doors to open to share the gospel! One way to do this is to participate in an international student welcoming ministry, such as ICO (a good friend of ours, Jerry Lillard, runs this ministry in Tulsa, OK): http://www.icotulsa.org

Our Lord is making us an offer we cannot and should not refuse, “Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.” (Psalm 2:8). In Revelation, chapter 7 we learn that people from every tribe, tongue and nation will make it to heaven. Will you be one of the ones to invite them into His Kingdom? Will you join Him in His harvest? Let’s win for the Lamb the reward of His suffering! The harvest in ON!!

Here are some photos of some of my new friends from Bangladesh! ...

The Shaking

shaking mountain

Over the last few years, I have occasionally checked some research data that showed historical trends of earthquakes by various ranges of magnitude. For some unknown reason, the researcher that maintained that data suddenly stopped displaying new data at the end of 2013. So, I decided to pull the data myself (at http://earthquake.usgs.gov). Since I began studying the 2014 earthquake data, I’ve noticed a substantial increase in the number of earthquakes with 2.5+ magnitude as compared to 2012 and 2013.However, for earthquakes of 7.0+ magnitude, it appears that April of 2014 has already surpassed the 40 year record! In addition to this, we saw a 4.8 magnitude earthquake in the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest experienced there in 34 years.

So, what is all this shaking that’s going on? Of course Jesus warned us that we’d begin to see many signs, calling them “the beginning of the birth pangs,” before the end of the age (Matthew 24:8). He said that these would include earthquakes in various places. As we see many signs indicating that we are approaching the end of the age, I would anticipate a continuation of the increase of the number and magnitude of earthquakes. What for? I believe that there are a number of things that are taking place in the heavens and on the earth when we see an increase of earthquakes. They are indicating to us what is taking place in the physical realm and also in the spiritual realm. And, believe it or not, many of these earthquakes are answers to your prayers. You may ask, “whatever do you mean?” Well, you’ve been praying the Lord’s prayer, correct? So then, you’ve been praying for the kingdom of heaven to come to earth, right? What exactly do we think will appear when we ask for heaven to come to earth…a bunch of wispy clouds and harps? Ezekiel actually saw some of what is in heaven (Ezekiel 1). When Ezekiel saw the living creatures in the presence of the Lord, he was amazed at the sight.

“The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it. The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning…When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.” ~Ezekiel 1:13-14, 24 (NIV)

When Ezekiel saw the Son of Man, he was again amazed at what he saw.

“I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.” ~Ezekiel 1:27 (NIV)

What an awesome and glorious sight! But what about our prayers? What happens with them? We get an explanation of what happens to some of our prayers in Revelation 5. There, we learn that our prayers are stored in golden censors (or bowls). Then later, in Revelation 8, we read more.

“Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.” ~Revelation 8:3-5 (NIV)

So, yes, your prayers are the cause of much shaking, and even earthquakes, in the heavens and on earth. But for what purpose? To put it simply, He is going to shake the devil out of us, out of the church, and out of the heavens and out of the earth…so that only His glorious Kingdom remains! Yes, He will shake the devil out of all 7 mountains of influence in our world today: Family, Government, Media, Education, Arts & Entertainment, Religion (or the Church) and Business. Whoever hangs on and clings to the devil while he’s being shaken and sifted out…will naturally end up going with him to where he’s going…the lake of fire.

See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” ~Hebrews 12:25-29 (NIV)

Should we be fearful of this shaking? Well yes, as the author of Hebrews says, I think we should remain in the fear of the Lord in respect to awe and reverence. But we have nothing to fear in regards to dread, except for the parts of our hearts and our lives that we have not already submitted fully to our Lord Jesus Christ. For perfect love casts out dread and terror. But those parts of us that we have not submitted to the Lord will be shaken until we let them go…but then again, we were not meant to hang on to them anyway! We should already be dead to the things of the world and to sin...and the dread and terror that accompanies them. So, let us submit ourselves completely to the Lord, the One who is doing the shaking, so that we remain with Him and not against Him.

"People of Israel, do not fight against the Lord, the God of your ancestors, for you will not succeed.” ~2 Chronicles 13:12 (NIV)

"I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken." ~Psalm 16:8 (NIV)

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” ~Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)

"'Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,' says the Lord, who has compassion on you." ~ Isaiah 54:10 (NIV)

“I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?'” ~Revelation 6:12-17 (NIV)

“For I will give the command, and I will shake the people of Israel among all the nations as grain is shaken in a sieve, and not a pebble will reach the ground. All the sinners among my people will die by the sword, all those who say, ‘Disaster will not overtake or meet us.’ ”In that day I will restore David’s fallen shelter—I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins— and will rebuild it as it used to be, so that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear my name,” declares the Lord, who will do these things. “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills, and I will bring my people Israel back from exile. They will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the Lord your God. ~ Amos 9:9-15 (NIV)

‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.” ~Haggai 2:6-9 (NIV)

The Release of God’s Unsearchable Wisdom

Seek His Wisdom

Yesterday at 3:33 am, I was suddenly awakened. Honestly, it startled me. I briefly took note of the time and became aware of my surroundings and soon went back to sleep. I believe that this was a reminder that we are entering the time of the fullest manifestation of Jeremiah 33:3…the release of God’s unsearchable wisdom to those who are seeking it.

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” ~Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)

We saw a wonderful example of this with King Solomon; when He was a young, inexperienced King.

That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” Solomon answered God, “You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place. Now, Lord God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth. Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?” God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.” ~2 Chronicles 1:7-12 (NIV)

This invitation is still available to us today...Jesus said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” ~Matthew 7:7-8 (NIV)

What is God doing? I believe that He is preparing to destroy earthly wisdom, and religion that is built upon rules taught by men. In the process, He will bring down the demonic strongholds that prop it all up. He will destroy it all by speaking and working through His true followers who speak only His words and who do only what He is doing.

The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught. Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish.” ~Isaiah 29:13-14 (NIV)

Many that have operated within these worldly power structures will grow frustrated as things they have trusted in begin to unravel for them. They will search for a response to what God is doing and what He is saying…but they will have no response for it. Their only good option will be to bow their knees to Jesus.

“From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you. They are created now, and not long ago; you have not heard of them before today. So you cannot say, ‘Yes, I knew of them.’ You have neither heard nor understood; from of old your ears have not been open. Well do I know how treacherous you are; you were called a rebel from birth. For my own name’s sake I delay my wrath; for the sake of my praise I hold it back from you, so as not to destroy you completely. See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another.” ~Isaiah 48:6-11 (NIV)

As we speak the Father’s words and do what He is doing, we will see these strongholds come down. How should we respond when this happens? Two things come to mind. First, don’t worry about the drama of it, even when you are speaking to powerful leaders in the world’s system. Just keep listening to the Holy Spirit and speaking what the Father is saying.

“On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” ~Matthew 10:18-20 (NIV)

Secondly, I think that we should not delight in anyone’s downfall, but simply continue to delight in Jesus!

The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” ~Luke 10:17-20 (NIV)
